60 Minutes ran a story on Cyberwar. They lead in with – “There are thousands of attempted attacks every day, tens of thousands of attacks…”
So this morning, everyone was pinging me about Cyberwar and “Did you know?”. Yes we know and now you know

First Public Battle Ever…

On October 16th, 2009 Dayton, Ohio will host the first ever public PacketWars battle at the 3rd annual Day-Con International Hacker Conference! the HackSec Invitational will pit individual and teams against each other in simulated Cyberwar. The event will start at 10AM and go until 10PM. The general public is invited. Don’t miss your change to see the action up close and personal. For more details please check out the Day-Con III link.

PacketWars at Day-Con III

PacketWars, your favorite information cyber warfare simulation, will be back again at the third annual Day-Con, Dayton Ohio’s information security summit, with the HakSec PacketWars Invitational.
This PacketWars’ battle will be by invitation only, but the public will be allowed to spectate. We are still working out the logistics so things can be perfect this year for the players and the spectators – what we can tell you is that Day-Con III takes place on October 16th, 2009, and more information is available at http://www.day-con.org
